41.   In Italy six agreements were signed for future economic, commercial and industrial co-operation, including the prospect of investment and co-operation from the Italian private sector.

42.   During the visit an agreement was signed on the demarcation of the eastern section of the Sino-Soviet border.

43.   The agreement was signed in September during a visit to China by UK Prime Minister John Major.

44.   President Kabua undertook a nine-day official visit to China in March, during which he signed agreements on economic and technological co-operation.

45.   Temporary agreements were signed setting up councils of heads of state and of heads of government.

46.   It also stated that it would sign an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency before the end of January which would allow international inspection of its nuclear facilities.

47.   Delegates signed an agreement on legislative co-operation, including the regular exchange of draft laws and consultative meetings to co-ordinate and draw up common approaches.

50.   All CIS member states signed an agreement on a single defence budget into which they would pay fixed contributions to be determined by the Council of Heads of Government.
