41. There were reports in December of rising tension between Myanma and Bangladesh. 42. There had been reports in October of intensified repression in Bhutan of ethnic Nepalese activists. 43. Warnings of impending violence had grown after reports in mid-January that Sikh and Kashmiri militants planned to stop the march entering Punjab and Kashmir. 44. Reports in late January suggested that the United Kingdom Defence Ministry might have been aware of the export of components used in the manufacture of the Iraqi super-gun. 45. Other reports in February indicated that Israel was keen to extend medical aid to Cambodia. 46. Reports in February had described plans to revive traditional Tajik farming and to resettle deserted mountain villages with workers from the cotton farms. 47. Reports in mid-July suggested that the government faced continued opposition to its preparations for a national convention to draft a new Constitution. 48.
