41.   An arrest was made by law enforcement officials Wednesday, but not for arson, as was reported at one point.

42.   An off-duty Gwinnett County deputy sheriff was working a part-time security job and made the arrest, court records show.

43.   And he said he suspected that those arrests had been made more to protect the suspects from possible Israeli arrest than to investigate any wrongdoing.

44.   And it endorsed strict policing, including shutting down roads, towing cars and making arrests.

46.   And prosecutors and police officers acknowledge that officers sometimes make arrests even when they lack probable cause.

47.   And in September, a student was abducted from the campus and raped, although an arrest was quickly made.

48.   And Police Department officials note that officers are making more arrests than ever of suspects attempting to bribe them.

49.   And some worry that if the department were to punish such aggressive cops, other officers might become less willing to make difficult arrests.

50.   And they might start making fewer arrests to avoid having to show up to testify, he said.
