31.   Reduce speed to low, add the egg and vanilla and mix until thoroughly combined.

32.   Reduce mixer speed to low and slowly add the heated milk.

33.   Reduce mixer speed to low.

34.   Reduce mixer speed to medium and slowly add the sugar, a couple tablespoons at a time.

35.   Reduce speed and slowly add flour.

36.   Reduce speed to low and gradually add flour until well incorporated.

37.   Reduce speed to low.

38.   Reduce speed to medium.

39.   Reduce speed to medium-low.

40.   Reduce speed to slow, and add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk until just blended.
