31.   A journalist rights group on Tuesday asked the Nigerian government to release a journalist arrested after he reported a dispute between high government officials.

32.   A leading Nigerian government blamed the opposition and western governments for a recent mosque bombing that killed six, a newspaper reported Sunday.

33.   Amnesty International said the Nigerian government is by no means alone in the Commonwealth in abusing human rights.
