31.   The U.S. military, which has a strong presence on Okinawa, grounded aircraft Monday and a bar on flying remained in effect Tuesday.

32.   Police officers, who had been accompanying the deportees, were sent back to France on another aircraft, while the damaged aircraft was grounded in Bamako pending repairs.
