31.   At follow up weeks three patients had fragment aggregates and one patient an intact calculus.

32.   Her improvement on gancyclovir and no further relapse over the subsequent year of follow up would fit with this diagnosis.

33.   Nevertheless the absence of recurrence during long term follow up will be required to exclude underlying idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease.

34.   At the first, two week follow up appointment, endoscopy to assess ulcer healing was obligatory.
