21.   The Taliban militia took advantage of Friday prayers in Kabul mosques to denounce the Afghan alliance formed to combat it, vowing it would never negotiate.

22.   Muttaqi claimed the narcotics business had dropped since the Islamic Taliban militia took control of more than two-thirds of the country last September.

23.   Radio Shariat said the militia took control of main towns in Kapisa province, including the capital, Mahmoud Raqi.

24.   The Kabul government Wednesday admitted the Taliban religious militia had taken the Afghan provincial capital of Jalalabad and accused Pakistan of direct involvement.

25.   The militia has also took most of neighbouring Laghman province as well as the whole of Kunar province.

26.   The people of Kabul will mark the end of Ramadan this weekend with the biggest celebrations since the now routed Taliban militia took the Afghan capital five years ago.
