21.   Clouds and showers will slowly expand northward from southern and central Texas as onshore winds draw moisture from over the Gulf of Mexico.

22.   Clouds will increase across most of the Gulf states as humid winds from the South will draw moisture farther inland.

23.   Clouds will gather across the middle Mississippi Valley Wednesday as a warm front draws gulf moisture northward.

24.   Clouds will increase in the Southern Plains as moisture is drawn northward from Texas.

25.   Copious moisture will be drawn north from the western Gulf of Mexico as low pressure begins to strengthen over Texas.

26.   Damp conditions are likely in the Rio Grande Valley and southern Rockies as moisture is drawn inland from the Gulf of Mexico.

27.   Elsewhere, an upper level low pressure system will serve to draw moisture north into eastern Arizona and western New Mexico, causing clouds and isolated thunderstorms.

28.   For rain to occur in Phoenix, the jet stream must dip far south and draw moisture inland from the Pacific, a combination that occurs sparingly in January.

29.   Gusty onshore winds will draw Atlantic moisture into the southern Appalachians.

30.   Heavy rain will sweep into southern New England on Friday as gusty winds from the east draw ocean moisture inland.
