15.   Cool, moist winds will ascend the west slopes of the Rockies causing showers.

16.   Dense fog will obscure the west slopes of the southern Appalachians.

17.   Exceptionally cool conditions for June will persist from the west slopes of the Rockies to the West Coast States.

18.   Farther west, a fast-moving disturbance will promote snow showers from the northern Great Lakes to the west slopes of the central Appalachians.

19.   Fitful showers and bursts of mountain snow will accompany a potent disturbance from Southern California to the west slopes of the southern Rockies.

20.   Farther east, however, scattered strong thunderstorms will erupt during the heat of the afternoon, especially along the west slopes of the Appalachians.
