11.   The Palestinian Cabinet, meeting in Gaza Thursday night, blamed Israel for the continuing violence, saying it was not stopping settlers from firing at civilians.

12.   The settlers were stopped after they refused to remove their guns, and many Israeli soldiers arrived at the scene.

13.   Five Palestinians were injured Monday by Israeli soldiers in scuffles which broke out when the Palestinians tried to stop Jewish settlers from bulldozing nearby land, witnesses said.

14.   In Gaza City, a spokesman for PLO chairman Yasser Arafat urged Israel to stop the settlers before further damage was done to the peace process.

15.   Israeli troops used force overnight to stop settlers founding a new illegal settlement near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, militaryh sources said.
