11.   The United Nations had warned the Bosnian Serbs since Sunday that they risked NATO airstrikes if they continued to attack the enclave.

12.   UNPROFOR commander General Sir Michael Rose has also warned the Bosnian government that its forces risked NATO airstrikes if they remained in the zone.

13.   Strategists at UNPROFOR say controlling Konjic would enable the Serbs to strangle Sarajevo without breaching the heavy weapons exclusion zone around the capital and risking NATO airstrikes.
