11.   Most colleges have routinely sought to produce qualified student bodies whose mix is in itself an educational experience for those in it.

12.   Particularly in advanced courses in the sciences and engineering, which do not attract large numbers of qualified American students, universities have long courted foreign students.

13.   The financial squeeze has forced Durban-Westville to cut back on programs designed to help poorly qualified students gain skills.

14.   The University System of Georgia told public colleges and universities last year to admit academically qualified students regardless of immigration status, but those students pay out-of-state tuition.

15.   But they say there really is no way to tell how many qualified students have been missed since not all take the SAT.

16.   Chancellor Robert Berdahl said in a statement last week that the class will be watched to make sure qualified students are not turned away.
