11.   The Transocean purchase date, for tax purposes, is the same date on which you bought your Schlumberger shares.

12.   Then, on the stock purchase date, call the company to find how many shares you bought at what price.

13.   The union believes the contract guarantees that the pilots should be paid more from the purchase date.

14.   Their cost basis will be the same as yours, and they also will use your purchase date to determine whether their sale is long term or short term.

15.   You can identify them by purchase date, price and number of shares.
