11.   Fertilize every two weeks with a liquid fertilizer.

12.   Fertilize with a diluted liquid fertilizer like fish emulsion after two leaves appear, and weekly thereafter.

13.   Give them a liquid fertilizer every week or so in summer.

14.   Let the soil dry out almost completely between waterings, and feed sparingly, using only liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength, to avoid burning the sensitive roots.

15.   Liquid fertilizers might have more success in getting into the tree, but applied to dry soils, they can burn the roots.

18.   Some people like to cut them straight across with scissors, give the plants a dose of liquid fertilizer and then enjoy another harvest a few weeks later.

19.   Soluble liquid fertilizer at one-quarter to one-half strength every three weeks is plenty.

20.   Some people put a plastic bottle with the bottom cut out in the center of the hill for giving liquid fertilizer as well as water.
