11.   The company especially objected to the ban including its subsidiary Portland General Electric, which it noted has not been part of the allegations against Enron.

12.   Twenty-two businesses, including subsidiaries of large conglomerates, which bought and used illegal software, faced civil prosecution.

13.   It said the purpose was to be able to include the subsidiary within the Societe Generale Group for tax purposes.

14.   The sale includes the subsidiaries Gambro Engstroem in Sweden, Soxil SpA in Italy, Engstroem MIE Ltd in England and Engstroem Elektromedizin GmbH in Germany.

15.   Under FEMA, Canadian companies -- including Canadian subsidiaries of US corporations -- are specifically banned from complying with the Helms-Burton law.
