11. A positive correlation was found between disease activity and the number of peripheral blood leucocytes. 12. No correlation was found between perinuclear antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positivity and localisation or extent of ulcerative colitis. 13. No significant correlation has been found between impaired gall bladder emptying and overall diabetic control as determined by the percentage of total haemoglobin present as glycated haemoglobin. 14. No correlation was found between the nucleation time and CSI, total protein concentration or the distribution of vesicular cholesterol in hepatic bile. 15. No correlation was found between faecal fat and faecal bile acid excretion. 16. No correlation was found between the serum carnitine concentration and the degree of intestinal atrophy in active coeliac disease. 17. Furthermore, no correlations were found between measures of renal function and either cumulative mesalazine dose or mesalazine treatment duration. 18. For the slow release preparations an apparent inverse relationship is found between the AUC and the mucosal concentrations. 19. The importance of active inflammation is underlined by the positive correlation we found between the endoscopic and histological grading of inflammation and PEG absorption. 20. Significant differences were found between these two gastric regions with regard to crypt length, size of the proliferating compartment, and the position of peak labelling. |
