11.   Excessive rain and local flooding are expected along the cold side of a front moving slowly east across the Plains.

12.   Fine weather is expected along the Atlantic seaboard Friday as high pressure moves off the Carolina coast.

13.   Generally lighter showers are expected along the front near the Atlantic coast.

14.   Gusty onshore winds are expected along the eastern coast.

15.   Generally dry weather will cover much of the East with abundant sun expected along the Northeast and Middle Atlantic seaboards as northwesterly winds dry on descent from the Appalachians.

16.   Heavy snow is expected along the west slopes of the higher terrain from northern California to the Bitterroots.

17.   Hot and very humid weather is expected along the Atlantic Seaboard as tropical air is circulated into the region ahead of a cold front.

18.   However, snow showers are expected along the west slopes of the Bitterroots.

19.   In the meantime, showers are expected along the coast from San Francisco northward.

20.   In the West, sunny and seasonably hot weather will affect interior California with patchy morning clouds and cooler air expected along the coast.
