Clusters of thunderstorms will erupt across parts of the Northern Plains late Saturday near the stalled western end of the cold front moving into the Northeast. 13. Farther north, widely scattered strong thunderstorms will erupt across North Dakota and northern Minnesota as a jet stream disturbance streaks along the periphery of the high. 14. Farther north, potent thunderstorms will erupt across the lower Missouri River valley. 15. Gusty thunderstorms will erupt across the Mississippi Valley as an approaching cold front intercepts a very warm and humid air mass moving north from the Gulf States. 16. In the humid wake south of the front, isolated severe thunderstorms will erupt across parts of Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana. 17. In turn, very warm and humid air will surge northward over the Plains, setting the stage for clusters of potent thunderstorms to erupt across the region. 18. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms will erupt across the area, but most places will stay dry. 19. Isolated, heavy thunderstorms will erupt across the lower Mississippi River Valley as a cool front presses slowly east across the Gulf states. 20. Isolated but potent thunderstorms will erupt across parts of Nebraska and Kansas as the southern end of the cold front lifts very warm surface air. |
