13.   And the last time the nation looked to Florida to decide the winner in a presidential race in which the popular vote and electoral vote diverged?

14.   And while there might still have been time to count statewide before the electoral votes are cast this coming Monday, the court prematurely punched the clock.

15.   Arizona has only eight electoral votes.

16.   Any organizer, Democrat or Republican, can tell similar tales in any state where a bunch of electoral votes are up for grabs.

17.   As a result, two presidents, Rutherford B. Hayes and Benjamin Harrison, won the electoral vote and the White House despite having lost the popular vote.
