16.   Muted demand in Asia has contributed to a more than doubling of copper inventories stored in warehouses monitored by the London Metal Exchange.

17.   Rising copper inventories suggested demand for copper might be slowing down.

18.   Still, during the past four weeks, the decline in LME stockpiles has been partly matched by an increase in Comex copper inventories.
