11.   Officials confirmed Tuesday that anthrax caused the deaths earlier this week of two Washington postal workers, bringing to three the number of deaths from contaminated mail.

12.   Postal officials have said repeatedly that none of the potentially contaminated mail from Brentwood was sent out.

13.   Until this week, the letter to Daschle had been the only contaminated mail that had been discovered in Washington.

14.   But testing of other post offices that had handled contaminated mail had turned up only trace amounts of anthrax.
