11.   The protest in the Idrizovo prison began on Thursday when a few convicts climbed the roof after their demands for lighter sentences were rejected by prison officials.

12.   They told ABS-CBN television that they opened the ceiling of their cell, climbed the roof, jumped over a fence and on to a mango tree.

13.   Some climbed the roof, including a Palestinian police officer, and ripped up a blue and white Israeli flag, throwing the shreds down to the cheering crowd.

14.   The activists were unable to climb the roof of the French embassy in Tel Aviv and chained themselves to its front gate, a police official said.
