91.   Ethnic Moldovans in the separatist region of Transdniestr crossed into Moldova proper in their hundreds Sunday to vote in presidential elections.

92.   The same day, the Georgian parliament had indefinitely deferred a debate on the presence of the Russian military in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, another separatist region.

93.   The separatists allowed ethnic Moldovans from Transdniestr into Moldova proper to vote Sunday but the authorities refused to organise a vote in the separatist region.

94.   The Serbs are also required to accept a settlement plan in the Serb separatist Krajina region in Croatia as a basis for talks between the secessionists and Croatian authorities.

95.   Khaburdzania also sought to allay fears that Georgia may use US military aid to squash resistance in the separatist region of Abkhazia.

96.   Many of the most important policies, including the war against the separatist region of Chechnya, have been made through presidential decrees which bypass the parliament altogether.

97.   Peace talks between Georgia and Abkhazia have been stalled since last year with the two sides failing to agree on a status for the separatist region within Georgia.

98.   Representatives of Georgia and Abkhazia were due to meet Wednesday in Moscow for closed door talks on the separatist region.

99.   Russian commanders were due to hold talks late Tuesday with representatives of the Georgian guerrillas who seized the Russian troops while on patrol in the separatist region.

100.   Sochi, the playground for Russian officials, is located east of Crimea just north of of Abkhazie, the western separatist region of Georgia.
