1.   An unusual provision allows Alabama voters to participate in a Republican primary runoff regardless of whether they voted or how they voted in the first primary.

2.   Any registered voter can participate in the primary, regardless of party affiliation.

3.   Any registered voter can participate Tuesday in any of the five party primaries.

4.   Any registered voter can participate, with the only consequence being that voters cannot also participate in the Democratic presidential caucuses next month.

5.   Both states allowed non-Republican voters to participate in the GOP primary.

6.   Consequently, voters may participate in either primary.

7.   None of the three counties will allow voters to participate in the trial from their home or office computers, and none of the online votes will actually count.

8.   Only when the competition is fair will voters participate fully in their democracy.
