1.   A Palestinian farm worker was shot dead by Jewish settlers near Nablus in the West Bank, an area where militant settlers live close to volatile Palestinian neighborhoods.

2.   Both Kfar Darom and Netzarim are tiny, isolated Jewish settlements outside the bloc of connected settlements further south known as Gush Katif where several thousand settlers live.

3.   Hebron is the only West Bank city in which settlers live.

4.   In the Palestinian-controlled Gaza Strip, Jewish settlers live defiantly amid the sand dunes in isolated compounds.
