1.   Serb forces began closing in on Srebrenica and the UN was powerless to stop them.

2.   Serb forces took the towns of Zvornik, Srebrenica and Bratunac near Sarajevo, and two districts of Sarajevo itself.

3.   Serb forces were considered the main culprits, although Croats and Moslems were not exempted from criticism.

4.   According to an EC delegation, twenty thousand Moslem women have been raped by Serb forces in Bosnia.

5.   Bosnian Serb forces have so far refused to allow even UN military observers to go to Gorazde.

6.   SERB forces were last night closing in on the last Muslim-held stronghold in eastern Bosnia, battling at close range with defenders of Gorazde.

7.   Bosnian Serb forces urged Gorazde citizens to leave via a road east to Ustipraca, about six miles away, Belgrade radio said.

8.   The Belgrade-based news agency Tanjug quoted Serb forces as saying Muslims had been using heavy artillery to bombard Serb positions in the Bratunac region of eastern Bosnia.

9.   Then, however, began the shelling by the Serb forces who accused the Muslims of using the troops as a human shield.

10.   He said Muslim civilians could be evacuated or were free to stay in the enclave and Serb forces would allow the sick and wounded to leave the area.
