A cold front will sweep off the Northeast Coast Tuesday, but low pressure will cause showers to persist across northern New England. 5. A stubborn dome of cold air will be persist across much of New England, however, with considerable clouds over interior sections. 6. Across the northern Rockies, an established southward dip in the jet stream will promote unseasonably cool conditions while patchy showers persist across western Washington. 7. Chilly air will persist across northern New England. 8. Clouds will persist across the lower Great Lakes. 9.
