1.   A CIA-operated surveillance plane had identified the missionary plane as a suspected drug flight.

2.   Dowell flew to Kinshasa, the capital of Zaire, and then hitched a ride upcountry on a four-seater missionary plane.

3.   Haskell emphasized that, while the family had crossed into Colombia, the missionary plane had never left Peru.

4.   It said that the pilot of the missionary plane, Kevin Donaldson, did nothing that should have led authorities to conclude he was transporting drugs.
