1.   Only distilled water should be used for cleaning contact lenses.

2.   Only distilled water, rain water, or water from a clean aquarium should be used.

3.   Sodium nitrite is dissolved in distilled water and diluted to volume.

4.   Sulfanilic acid is dissolved in concentrated hydrochloric acid and diluted to volume with distilled water.

5.   When using warm seawater vapour, the plant can also produce fresh distilled water when it is condensed back into a liquid.
